Nebius

Nebius is an AI-focused cloud provider that emerged from the restructuring of Russian-founded technology company Yandex, now headquartered in Amsterdam and listed in the US. It builds and operates large NVIDIA GPU clusters across European and US data centers, targeting AI training and inference customers, and has become one of the most prominent publicly traded neoclouds outside the US-founded cohort.

Nebius was formed from the international assets of Yandex following the wind-down of that company's Russian operations, retaining a strong engineering base and a Nasdaq listing. It re-focused entirely on AI cloud infrastructure under the Nebius brand.

The company designs its own server and data-center architecture around NVIDIA accelerators, offering managed AI cloud services and building capacity in Finland, the US, and elsewhere. It has pursued large capacity agreements with major AI customers to underwrite its expansion, echoing the contract-backed growth model of other neoclouds.

Nebius also retains stakes in adjacent businesses (including an autonomous-driving venture and an edtech platform), but its identity and valuation now rest on AI infrastructure, where it competes with CoreWeave, Lambda, and Crusoe as European and US demand for GPU capacity outstrips supply.
