Michael Intrator
CEO, CoreWeave
Michael Intrator is the co-founder and CEO of CoreWeave, the GPU-specialist cloud that scaled from cryptocurrency mining into one of the most important AI infrastructure providers, culminating in a high-profile 2025 IPO.
Notable for
Intrator came from a background in commodities trading and risk before co-founding the company that became CoreWeave in 2017, originally as a cryptocurrency-mining operation. He led its pivot to GPU cloud services as demand for AI compute exploded.
Under Intrator, CoreWeave focused exclusively on GPU-accelerated workloads, often being among the first to deploy new NVIDIA generations at scale, and signed multi-billion-dollar contracts with customers including OpenAI and Microsoft. NVIDIA became both an investor and preferred-supply partner.
He took CoreWeave public in 2025 in one of the year's most closely watched listings, and its debt-financed, contract-backed growth model became emblematic of both the opportunity and the concentration risk in the fast-growing neocloud sector.
